I visited Florence Oregon USA for seeing Wild Darlingtonia
Sep,21-22,2002 .
Florence is sea side small town of Oregon.
Generally,Eugene Airport is best useful Airport for access to Florence.
It takes time by car Around one hour half between Eugene to Florence.
Also,Eugene is famous for Niki and Oregon university.
The town is nice fresh air and good incense of Oak woods.
I contacted Dean Cook who is owner of "Cook's carnivorous Plants".
I told him about my visiting plan that wild Darlingtonia to Florence.
He took me to there.So I spent great time at Oregon.
He is very kindly and really nice guy. I would like to say thanks for Dean.
And I recommend to visit His carnivorous Plants farm.
He has Fore green house for keeping carnivorous Plants.
There is many nice saracenia.

My impression of wild Darlingtonia habitat is highland savanna.
And they are growing along cold swamp.
However,Florence wild habitat of Darlingtonia there is level ground of sea ashore part of forest.
And there is no high mountain around Florence.
