| There are 2 species in South Africa, both endemic to the Western Cape fynbos area. Both plants occur in isolated populations numbering from a few plants to 2 000 plants. R gorgonias is a red data book species as it is so uncommon. |

| A woody sub-insectivorous shrub up to 2m tall with leaves crowed on short side branches. The leaves bear knob-shaped glandular hairs containing non -digestive enzymes exuding a sticky fluid. The pink flowers are borne on long hairy pedicels in the axils of the upper leaves. Flower SEP to OCT Plants favour damp localities at altitudes of 900 to 1200 m in the mountains of the Clanwilliam , Ceres and Tulbagh districts. I could't find the other Carnivorous plant around Roridula dentata.They prefer to grow a slight slope of ventilation. |
