| Roridula gorgonias occur a couple costal mountain area of Overberg region Western Cape SouthAfrica. It is a woody,sparingly-branched shrub to 1m or more. The narrow leaves,up to 120mm long are crowded at the tips of the branches and are covered with sticky immovable tentacles. The pink flower are 20mm across. It occurs in scattered colonies in damp places on the mountain from somerset West to Swellendam.(JLY-OCT) Roridula gorgonias grows more moist soil condition than Roridula dentata growing soil. Even Roridula gorgonias colonies has found around marsh outskirts. I found the other Carnivorous plant around Roridula dentata that Drosera aliciae and Drosera slakii. They prefer to grow a slight slope of ventilation. They ruquire more cool condition than R.dentata in Summer under cultivation. |
